It’s been awhile since I’ve had the energy to write on my blog here. I’ve been working on some pieces of Art, but Chronic Illness (often an “Invisible Illness”) is often unpredictable, no matter how much one tries to ‘control’ it. I put that in brackets because we all know it’s near impossible to control… You’ve got to go with the ebb and flow of things.
Part of the healing process when it comes to the depression and anxiety often associated with suffering from Chronic illnesses, is to find something to occupy your mind. Art can help a lot in this kind of situation. You’ve got to find something that you can focus on and forget as much as possible about your dreaded health issues. Medication for depression and anxiety can only go so far (never mind all the other meds for the chronic issues). You’ve got to have a goal, something enjoyable to look forward to…. and for me, Art is definitely the key.
It definitely takes me longer to complete projects and ideas that I have in mind, but it gives me that mental patience not to give up.
I’m a big fan of surrounding myself with designs and colors that bring me joy, whether it be a really cute sticker to put on one of my note books, or a beloved coffee mug to drink my tea with a design that makes me smile every time. So, with this in mind, I’ve taken the plunge to upload some of my designs on RedBubble. I love the wide variety of items they offer for me to place my artwork on, and the quality of the items is also excellent.
I’ve uploaded my “I have Catitude” design now…. here’s a few examples of what you can purchase in My Garden Of Love RedBubble shop:
There’s super cute spiral journal (you can choose if you want the sheets inside to be lined, graphics, or blank), stickers, hard-cover notebook, make-up/pouches, coffee mugs, T-shirts, travel mugs, and so much more!
What do you think of my Fantasy Cat design? Do you have Catitude you’re like to display? There’s nothing better than showing it off with one of these products 🙂
Message me if you have any questions!
See you on the joyous side of life…
